Relatives of Senator Rauf Arashukov, accused of murder, have been arrested. They are suspected of stealing gas worth 30 billion rubles

The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Raul Arashukov for two months, suspected of stealing natural gas from Gazprom for 30 billion rubles.

Arashukov pleaded not guilty. He stated that his detention was connected only with the criminal prosecution of his son.

Earlier, the court arrested Ruslan Arashukov, who is called the nephew of Raul Arashukov, for two months. He was also taken into custody in the case of the theft of gas from Gazprom.

• Raul Arashukov was detained on January 30 at the St. Petersburg office of Gazprom. On the same day, at a meeting of the Federation Council, his son, Senator Rauf Arashukov, was detained. He was charged with organizing two contract killings, beating a witness to one of these murders, and participating in a scheme to steal natural gas from Gazprom. He was arrested for two months.
