Open letter of public figures to the mayor of Moscow

Already almost four years have passed since the day when the politician Boris Nemtsov was brutally killed on the Big Moskvoretsky Bridge, right by the Kremlin walls. Despite the fact that the performers of this political murder were established and convicted, the customers of reprisals are still not named and not held accountable. The fault for the current situation is completely on the current Russian authorities.

Over the past year, it was possible to put a sign on the house in which Nemtsov lived. The name of Boris Nemtsov also received an area in Washington and a square in Vilnius, in a number of countries this issue is being discussed.

At the site of the death of Nemtsov, a national memorial has been created and operates, which is regularly attacked and pogroms from the part of the already long -established persons.

These actions are performed with the full connivance of the authorities of Russia and Moscow.

Despite the public appeals, the Moscow authorities refuse to perpetuate the memory of Boris Nemtsov and establish a memorial sign at the place of his murder, as well as consider other proposals for perpetuating memory.

In this regard, representatives of the democratic community require the authorities of Russia and Moscow:

1. Take urgent measures to ensure at the place of his murder of public order, to punish long -known pogrom, including those included in the SERB group;

2. Return to the issue of establishing a memorial sign on a large Moskvoretsky bridge and consider other proposals for perpetuating the memory of Boris Nemtsov. Create a public-state commission for the resolution of existing contradictions and hold its first meeting until the date of the murder of Boris Nemtsov.

We cannot but note that a similar letter was already sent to the Moscow authorities a year ago, and no answer was received. Moreover, in Moscow, the memory of Hugo Chavez and Akhmat Kadyrov has already been immortalized.

We are sure that the memory of Boris Nemtsov is concerned about a larger number of Muscovites than the memory of the above -mentioned faces.
