All activists were brought to the police department of the city of Balashikha, Moscow Region. On the same day, February 1, everyone was released except Azat Miftakhov. Mediazona talked with six of them. We publish the most important points from the conversations and what we managed to find out to the present moment.
The cause of the criminal case is an explosive device. According to the documents, it was found on January 11, 2018 in the forest in Balashikha. At home, Azat Miftakhov seemed to be found objects from which a home -made explosive device can theoretically collect. According to Victoria Zaputkina, law enforcement officers suggest that Miftakhov wanted to blow up gas pipes in the forest of Balashikha.
Miftakhov was hidden from defenders for more than a day. Lawyer Sofya Khorava and defender Roman Ustinov tried to get to the detainee in the evening of February 1. Then the investigator claimed that the anarchist had already been released home. The lawyers had to file an application for the search. The investigator first reported the whereabouts of Miftakhov on the evening of February 2. At seven o’clock in the evening of the same day, documents were first compiled on him.
Miftakhov announced torture with a screwdriver and beating. In the police department, the instrument on was put on his chest, said anarchist. The employee also assigned the instrument to the anus of the detainee and threatened to enter him into the anus. Then the activist beat his palm over his face, a fist over his chest, kicking his legs and chest, pulled out his hair. Miftakhov said that there was a trace of a screwdriver on his chest. This was confirmed by Victoria Zaputkin.
Miftakhov tried to open his veins, lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina said . This was also seen by other detainees. According to Azat, he was sure that he was being taken to torture, and tried to prevent it.
Daniil Galkin was tortured with electric shock and tried to persuade him to cooperate. He said that after the search, the security forces threw him on the floor in the car, laid their feet on his face and beat him with a stouter shocker on "legs, caviar, closer to the inguinal part." The employee threatened to put a stun gun in an anus, took off his pants from the detainee and knocked down next to him. In addition, in case of refusal to cooperate, law enforcement officers threatened criminal prosecution, relatives' problems and new torture.
Ilya Gubsky was beaten by a stamp. According to him, even before the search, he was hit two or three times with a shocker in the entrance of the house when he refused to say what apartment was sent to. After that, he was hit several times.
The "Channel One" came to the department. Daniil Galkin said that the investigator, under threat of torture, made him comment to reporters. Galkin had to say that he condemns the actions of Azat, "that terrorism is bad." Alexander, another detainee, said that he covered his face with his hands and refused to answer the questions of journalists, "or he spoke garbage distant."
