The Kaltansky District Court of the Kemerovo Region arrested activist Veniamin Minyailov for 12 days. This was reported to OVD-Info by his daughter Valeria Gromova.
Minyailov was found guilty of disobedience to the police (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court decided that the activist resisted the arrest.
Minyailov was detained on the morning of February 3 while walking his dog. On the video of the detention, published by Siberia. Realities ”it is clear that the police used force against the man. Doctors later diagnosed him with ligament injuries.
After the arrest, Minyailov was taken to the Investigative Committee of Novokuznetsk. Later, two more activists were brought there: Yuri Ionov and Nikolai Nazarov. They were also going to take part in the action against garbage.
According to Gromova, they were interrogated in the case of Ionov himself, but what exactly he is suspected of is still unknown. In August 2018, Ionov, a permanent member of election commissions, was detained by several masked men. Later, he said that at the same time he was searched in connection with a complaint from the head of the Investigative Committee for the city of Osinniki, who was "offended" by one of Ionov's posts on the social network. After the arrest, Ionov was placed in a psychiatric hospital for examination by a court decision.
