"Bag without a bottom" Khamdamov will be shown in mamm

On February 7, in multimedia art museum, Moscow (mamm), a special show of the film Rustam Hamdamov “Sack without a Bottom” will be held.

According to the MAMM website , the picture will be presented and discussed with the audience, director Rustam Hamdamov and producer Tikhon Pendyurin, the show will be accompanied by a chamber exhibition of unique materials from filming (photographer Sergey Tabunov) and copyright sketches.

The film was released on January 18, 2018 simultaneously with the international premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival and became the main event of the competition program of the Moscow International Film Festival.

The film "SPEC WITHOUT BOOD" was created based on the novels of Ryunoske Akutagawa "in the more one", the action of which was transferred to the Russian Empire from the reign of Alexander II. The court maid of honor tells the prince a fairy tale that occurs in the past and tells of the mystical murder of the prince in the forest. Participants in history, witnesses of this crime, tell different versions of the incident, making it difficult to understand what really happened. Khamdamov’s film indirectly refers to the famous tape of Akira Kurosava Rasomon, also based on Akutagawa's short story. And the name was given to the film by a fairy tale No. 295 about a bottomless bag from the “thousand and one night”, which maid of honor and the prince read to each other. Thus, the figurative series of the film is intertwined from many references to the cultural layers varied in time and geography, among other things - from the history of cinema, literature and visual arts, Japanese aesthetics and the “Russian style”).
