IKEA will start renting furniture

Swedish furniture company IKEA will start renting out furniture. The first country where this will happen will be Switzerland, where this feature will be available as early as February 2019. The service is being introduced as part of IKEA's green business program.

At the initial stage, only office furniture will be rented out. In the future, IKEA plans to extend this practice to kitchen furniture.

• In 2018, IKEA's profit fell by more than a third. Against this background, the company announced the reduction of 7,500 jobs.
