Over the past year, more than 18 million new cases of oncological diseases have been recorded in the world, of which 617 thousand are on Russia. This is 20 thousand more than last year. In total, more than three and a half million citizens are registered in oncology in the country.

Such statistics are given by the Ministry of Health. The message of the “National Medical Research Center of Radiology” by the Ministry of Health of Russia is timed to the World Council Day against Cancer, which is celebrated in the world on February 4th annually. In the summer, the Ministry of Health reported the most common types of cancer in Rossi. These included skin cancer (89.1 thousand cases), breast cancer (70.6 thousand), cancer of the trachea, bronchi and lungs (62.2 thousand). According to the ONF monitoring results published in the fall, in general, the country in the country even decreased by 2.4% per year. But at the same time, many individual subjects of the Federation recorded a deterioration in the situation: in 30 out of 85 Russian regions, mortality from cancer over the same period of time increased.
