The former head of the Serpukhov district, Shestun, was charged with a bribe of 9 million rubles

The Investigative Committee brought a new charge against the former head of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region, Alexander Shestun, of a bribe of 9 million rubles. About this writes "MBH media" with reference to his wife Yulia Shestun.

According to investigators, the director of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Serpukhov District, Tatyana Grishina, transferred bribes to the head of the district in 2012-2018, the total amount of which amounted to approximately nine million rubles.

Shestun denies the accusation and believes that a new article is needed to extend his term in jail.

“I have already said that Grishina was prosecuted for fraud, she is an elderly person, she was kept in a pre-trial detention center only in order to force her to slander me. As a result, she got scared and went to the slander. In exchange, her preventive measure was changed to house arrest, ”Shestun wrote.

• Oleksandr Shestun was detained in June 2018 on charges of abuse of power - allegedly he illegally transferred a plot of land to a legal entity at a reduced cost. Prior to his arrest, he announced threats of a criminal case because of the approval of a rally against garbage dumps. The ex-head of the Serpukhov district said that he was threatened by the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov. Then the charge was reclassified to "fraud".
