The family of the head of the state corporation Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, owns an apartment worth five billion rubles in the center of Moscow, said politician Alexei Navalny.
The authors of the investigation approximately estimated the cost of the apartment based on the advertisement for the sale of a penthouse in the same building and recalculating the footage.
Navalny writes that the total area of the apartment in the Four Seasons Hotel building at 2 Okhotny Ryad Street, presumably owned by the Chemezov family, is 1,434 square meters, but it is not included in the official’s declaration. At the same time, the declaration of his wife Ekaterina Chemezova indicates two non-residential premises with an area of more than 700 square meters at the address Okhotny Ryad, building 2. The politician believes that this is how the declaration describes an apartment in the center of Moscow.
Navalny noted that Ekaterina Chemezova works in the structures of Rostec, which is headed by her husband. According to the politician, she established the KATE company , which was supposed to produce automatic transmissions for AvtoVAZ. Later, KATE received an order to produce a gearbox for the Aurus presidential limousine, the politician reports. In addition, Chemezova was awarded the medal “For Services to the Fatherland”, second degree.
