The Investigative Committee will interrogate officers from the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karachay-Cherkessia in the case of Senator Rauf Arashukov, RBC reports , citing sources familiar with the investigation.

In particular, according to the publication, on the morning of February 6, the first deputy head of the Investigative Committee’s department for Karachay-Cherkessia, Kazbek Bulatov, flew to Moscow for interrogation.

RBC sources also said that four employees of the republican departments of law enforcement agencies were called to the Investigative Committee to carry out investigative actions. Among them is the head of Center “E” for Karachay-Cherkessia, Timur Betuganov.

The publication notes that Betuganov worked on the case of the murder in 2010 of the leader of the Circassian movement “Adyge-Khase” Aslan Zhukov, in which the senator was accused of involvement.
