A 19-year-old resident of the Dagestan city of Khasavyurt, Abdula Magomedov, disappeared after searches at his home, the press service of the Memorial human rights center, which was contacted by the young man’s relatives, told Mediazona. They claim that security forces planted a grenade at their home.
Relatives say that on February 4, an armored personnel carrier drove up to their house. Six people came out of it - four in civilian clothes and two people in camouflage uniforms and with weapons. Two of the people in civilian clothes introduced themselves as witnesses.
According to relatives, the security forces did not show any documents. During the search they found a grenade. Relatives insist that the security forces themselves planted her.
After the search, Magomedov was taken away in an unknown direction. The department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khasavyurt district and the city department of Khasavyurt told the relatives that Magomedov was not brought to them. Lawyer Madin Khanmagomedova made inquiries to these police departments, as well as to the district court and prosecutor's office. The Khasavyurt City Court responded that during the period from February 4 to February 6, neither a request for a search nor a notice of a search was received.
