An assistant to Kadyrov's representative was detained in Crimea

On February 6, in the city of Saki, the assistant to the representative of the head of Chechnya in Crimea, Murad Saidov, was detained. At first, the radio station “Moscow Speaks” reported this with reference to sources; later, the head of the North Caucasus republic Ramzan Kadyrov commented on the information in a telegram.

“On February 6, the police received an anonymous call about a fight in a restaurant. Law enforcement officers who arrived to the call found more than a dozen armed people there beating businessman of Chechen origin Ibragim Aliyev. According to preliminary data, Aliyev received serious injuries, the radio station reported. “According to the radio station’s source, the cause of the conflict was Aliyev’s refusal to Saidov’s demand to transfer his share in the business.”

It was noted that small arms, including a golden pistol, were seized at the scene. “According to the information received, the seized weapon is traumatic and has the necessary permits,” Kadyrov emphasized.

“Both participants in the incident are Chechens, have known each other for a long time, maintained business relations, and did not come into conflict with any outsiders. Disagreements arose due to mutual business claims. They will be settled fairly and in strict accordance with the law,” the head of the republic assured.

According to him, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, who lost a golden pistol during a conflict in parliament in 2013, is looking into what happened.

At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee were unable to clarify to the radio station whether Saidov was really still detained.
