In St. Petersburg, teachers were denied permission to picket

The administration of the Vasileostrovsky district in St. Petersburg refused to approve a picket against the "repressive policy in educational institutions" to the "Teacher" trade union. This was told by the organizing secretary of the trade union Olga Miryasova. The response of the authorities is at the disposal of OVD-Info.

Officials did not offer an alternative place for the action, and the refusal was motivated by repairs.

The action was initiated by teachers Yulia Markova and Marina Balueva. Markova began to receive disciplinary sanctions after an open letter to Governor Beglov about financial violations at the AUGSGiP college. English teacher Balueva in the Ogonyok publication spoke about the scheme for distributing the wage fund in correctional school No. 616, where she teaches. The woman is being pressured to quit.
