“On the eve of the city there was an extraordinary situation: the Shelekhov resident saved the life of passengers of an uncontrollable bus,” said the head of the city Sergey Lipin on the social network. - The driver of the vehicle, which executed traffic along route No. 6, sharply became bad right behind the wheel. One of the passengers managed to grab the steering wheel, press the brake and stop the bus at full speed. It turned out to be a former police officer, a veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sergey Petrovich Kuzmin. ”

When the car managed to stop, eyewitnesses called an ambulance. However, the 63-year-old driver failed to help, he died.

“Having learned about the act of his colleague, the public organization of veterans of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Irkutsk Region decided to note the bold and decisive actions of Sergey Kuzmin and thank him to prevent his prevented car accident,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs also said.
