Actor Sergei Yursky died

People's Artist of Russia Sergey Yursky died in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the Mossovet Theatre, where he worked as a director. Yursky was 83 years old.

“Sergei Yuryevich was ill for a long time and died in Moscow a few hours ago,” Interfax writes , citing the artist’s daughter Daria Yurskaya.

Biography. Sergei Yursky was born in 1935 in Leningrad. In 1955 he entered the acting department of the Leningrad Theater Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky, since 1957 he worked at the Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater.

• In 1978, Yursky moved to Moscow and was accepted into the corpse of the Mossovet Theater. As a director, he staged the performances “Theme with Variations”, “Truth is good, but happiness is better”, “There was not a penny, but suddenly Altyn” and others. Since 1991, he has collaborated with the School of Modern Play theater as a director and actor.
• During his life, Yursky starred in more than 40 films, his roles in the films Golden Calf, Love and Pigeons, The Republic of ShKID, The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed and others brought him great fame.
