More than half of Russians reported disunity in society

65% of Russians surveyed by the ZIRCON research group believe that “one should be careful in dealing with people”, 57% say that in modern society “there is more disagreement, disunity”. The results of the study are cited by Kommersant . The most acute contradictions, according to citizens, are between the authorities and the people (45%), rich and poor (40%), and between people of different political persuasions (24%).

According to a similar survey conducted in 2015 by the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 32% felt a split between the authorities and the people, and 6% felt a split between people of different political views. Disunity between the rich and the poor was then felt by 37%.
