The court freed from the colony of the convicted person under the article of the nationalist Safargali

The Omutninsky District Court of the Kirov Region decided to release from serving the punishment the founder of the Tatar Patriotic Front "Altyn Urda" Danis Safargali, sentenced to three years in a general regime colony, said Pavel Chikov, head of the Agora international human rights group.

He added that Safargali will leave the colony after 10 days - after the court decision enters into force.

In August 2017, Safargali found guilty of arousing hatred or enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code), hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), intentionally causing easy harm to health (Article 115 of the Criminal Code) and beatings (Article 116 of the Criminal Code).

The nationalist was arrested after a household conflict in the hostel, where he worked as a commandant. The investigation found that Safargali had a fight with an employee of the company "Pilgrim", which evicted students from home. The nationalist himself insisted that he stood up for a pregnant woman who was hit in his stomach. Already in the pre -trial detention center, Safargali was charged with extremism.

It is associated with 15 VKontakte posts, which Safargali published from March 2014 to March 2016. In them, he expressed his opinion about the political situation in Russia, in particular, compared Vladimir Putin with Adolf Hitler.
