IDGC will buy the largest electric grid company Novosibirsk

IDGC of Siberia, which is part of the Rosseti state holding, is working on the mechanism for the redemption of the Novosibirsk JSC “Regional Energy Networks” (RES). Details of the transaction will become clear upon completion of the valuation of the energy system in March. This was stated on February 18, Director General of IDGC Siberia Vitaly Ivanov.

He noted that the RES has “good reporting”, and the power system “works normally”.

As Taiga.info previously reported , IDGC received the RES JSC and Electromagistral JSC at the end of May 2018 “as part of the work on the consolidation of electric grid assets”.

“All the subjects of the Siberian Federal District, with the exception of the Novosibirsk and Irkutsk region, are in the service area of ​​our company,” said Pavel Livinsky, general director of Rossetei. - At this stage, we consolidated the network assets of the Novosibirsk region on the basis of IDGC of Siberia. This is a big thing. The unity of the network will allow you to introduce the best management practices, including unifying approaches to technical policy to increase the reliability of energy supply of the region. ”

The deal was supported by the FAS and the head of the Novosibirsk region Andrei Travnikov. In his opinion, the arrival of Rossetei "will contribute to a more operational update of the equipment fleet, increase the reliability of the energy supply of the population, and create new capacities."

According to Kommersant, JSC “Regional Energy Networks” occupies 72.9% of the market for the transfer and distribution of electric energy in the region.
