On February 15, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, a Metro: Exodus , was published, developed by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games and released by the publisher of Deep Silver (belongs to the German-Austrian company Koch Media). According to the plot, events in it take place in Russia after a nuclear war. The game is based on the novels of the Russian science fiction writer Dmitry Glukhovsky, the author of the books “Metro 2033” and its two continuations - “Metro 2034” and “Metro 2035”. The writer, along with 4A Games, worked on the script of the Exodus.

A few days after the shooter’s release, the players found a “achievement” called “decommunization”. Dozens of videos appeared in social networks, where players and streamers from around the world beat a monument or shoot it.

The game outraged some Russian -speaking users. Others, on the contrary, responded to the shooter positively and compared it with the satirical comedy “Death of Stalin”, prohibited for rental in Russia.

The exit of the game was dedicated to the plot in the Vesti program on the Russia 24 TV channel. The presenter Alexei Kazakov said, speaking of the developers of the shooter: “Apparently, they became interested in their own Maidan realities, and also muffled over the Muscovites. Kazakov called the "outcome" of one of the best -selling games in the world (although the publisher has not yet published reports). Dmitry Glukhovsky answered the plot of Vesti. Representatives of the Buka company, the distributor of the game in Russia, said in the commentary Medusa: “We did not engage in intra -game content and did not affect the process of developing the Exodus.
