SERB activists broke into the Memorial and thwarted the show "Holiday"

In Moscow, participants in the nationalist Prochrevsky movement SERB tore off the show and discussion of the film by Alexei Krasovsky "Holiday" , which were organized at the site of the historical, educational and human rights society "Memorial". This is stated on the Society page on Facebook.

After watching, it was planned to discuss the picture with the participation of the director, actors, the film critic of Anton Dolina, as well as the employees of the Memorial Nikita Petrov and Irina Shcherbakova. “As soon as we managed to launch the first fragment, just 10 minutes passed, strange people with St. George ribbons, with a bunch of different cameras and other devices, broke into our building,” the message said.

Visiters began to shout loudly: “Shame”, “You show a movie without a rental certificate”, “Why are you selling our homeland”, “You sell tickets for a show“ and another “nonsense”, as they say in the Memorial. Among the activists of the SERB movement, their leader Gosha Tarasevich and former deputy Igor Brumel were identified.

The Memorial also noted that among the attackers were people who "periodically pour the green ceremony of the school competition and other events organized by this society.

The police were immediately called to the scene, but appeared only after more than 30 minutes. But the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were ahead of the crew of the NTV.

The resulting law enforcement officers listened to the participants in the conflict, and after 20 minutes they brought 20 attackers to the street. After that, several dozen guests of the Memorial were able to continue the discussion of cinema. And the members of the board of the Memorial Elena Zhemkova, Oleg Orlov and the lawyer of the human rights center Memorial Tatyana Glushkova went to the Tverskaya police department for further proceedings.

As a result, the director decided to put the film in open access to YouTube and not receive a rental certificate. The film scored more than a million views, after which YouTube without explan reasons deleted it for several hours. This was later explained by a system failure.

Participants in the SERB movement are known for a number of scandalous promotions in Moscow, including the breakdown of Jok Rodzhe’s photo exhibition "without embarrassment 2.0" in December 2017. In the same year, they thwarted the film show at the Artdokfest festival.

In September 2018, SERB activists arranged a pogrom at the exhibition at the Winzavod and ruined the exhibit, which allegedly "insulted Putin." The incident occurred at the exhibition "Heavenly Jerusalem."
