
In the Zaon National Park, which is located near the city of Springdale in the American state of Utah, rescuers rescued Tourist Ryan Osmun from the unsteady sands of the tourist. The incident occurred in an inaccessible area. Osmun spent in mud, cold water, at low air temperature and snow storm for 10 hours.
Ryan told the FOX13 television channel details of the incident. He advanced with his girlfriend Jessica McCan along the river when her leg suddenly fell into the mud, and she fell into the water. The man hardly took her out of there, but at the same time his right leg was almost completely plunged into the unsteady sand, and the left also lost his support. Now Jessica was trying to get Ryan, but her attempts were unsuccessful. Then she went for help. After 4 hours, cell communications earned, the tourist managed to contact the rescuers. When they got to her, Jessica lost consciousness, and she was sent to the hospital with hypothermia.
After 8 hours, the exhausted Ryan collapsed into ice water. Soon after, the first rescuer arrived at the scene, but he could not help the victim. An hour later, 3 more rescuers reached and, together, they managed to release a man from unsteady sands. During salvation, Ryan experienced a strong pain and was afraid that he would lose the limb, but everything worked out.
"One guy scraped the sand from my leg, others helped to free themselves. At that moment, I probably experienced the most severe pain in my life," Ryan Ria "Novosti" quoted.
Because of the blizzard, the rescuers had to stay in the gorge for the night. In the afternoon, the weather allowed to evacuate a tourist with a helicopter. He was taken to the hospital with hypothermia and minor injuries.
Ryan and Jessica have already recovered and give interviews to television channels.
Representatives of the Service of National Parks said that frosts and snow can turn even ordinary campaigns into dangerous ones. They also noticed that this year in the Zayon park was a wet winter, which provoked the formation of dangerous unsteady sands.
