
After an unscheduled audit, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the Center for support and promoting the development of the media in the register of organizations performing the functions of "foreign agents". This was reported on the website of the department.
The center is engaged in scientific research and developments in the field of public and humanities, the publication of newspapers and books. According to the SPARK-Interfax system, it is headed by human rights activist and editor-in-chief of the Caucasian Knot resource Grigory Swedov.
The Center for Support and Promoting the Development of the Media has become the 73rd organization in the register of "foreign agents". Earlier in February, the list of "foreign agents" included three organizations headed by human rights activist Lev Ponomarev, including the Human Rights movement.
