In Moscow, searches are being carried out in the offices of the management of city clinical hospital No. 52 in a case of illegal cash withdrawal, TASS reports , citing a source in law enforcement agencies.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, “as part of the operational audit, monthly kickbacks from drug suppliers in the amount of about 30 million rubles were identified.” The source also said that the case is related to illegal cash withdrawal through front organizations, but did not specify under what article it was opened.
TASS reports that [Roskomnadzor] became defendants in the case. The procedural status of the defendants in the case is not specified.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, operatives have at their disposal the entire list of representatives of companies that supplied medicines and consumables to the hospital and gave monthly kickbacks to the management of the medical institution.
The position of head of the Hematology Service of City Clinical Hospital No. 52 was occupied by doctor Elena Misyurina, who became accused under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person). In January 2018, she was sentenced to two years of general imprisonment, but after the medical community came out in defense of the doctor, the sentence was overturned and the case was returned for a new investigation.
