The Preobrazhensky District Court arrested Muscovite Nadezhda Kulikova for two months, whose son spent the night alone in the Moscow Losiny Ostrov nature reserve, a Mediazona correspondent reports from the courtroom.
The investigation requested the arrest of Kulikova, the court granted the request. The boy’s mother is accused of attempted murder (Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs “c”, “d” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code).
Lawyer Marina Efimenko, in turn, asked to place the woman under house arrest, adding that she is a loving mother and should be with her child. According to Efimenko, the six-year-old boy is now at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute. During the meeting, Kulikova sat on a bench, not in a cage.
Previously, the boy’s mother said that on February 17, the child himself ran away from her to the Losiny Ostrov nature reserve. The next day she contacted the police. As the Investigative Committee reported, on the morning of February 18, the boy, who had been wandering in the reserve all night, was discovered by drivers. According to eyewitnesses, a bag wrapped with tape was placed over his head.
This bag was later found at the scene by security forces. In it they found a children's mitten. From Kulikova's car, investigators seized three rolls of tape, a corkscrew opener and hair fragments from the surface of a child's seat.
“The child’s story, which he also told adults on the spot, contradicts the mother’s version of what happened,” the Investigative Committee noted. Telegram channel The Baza , from the words of workers at a gas station located near the reserve, cited the child’s version: “Yesterday evening his mother took him to the forest, tied him to a tree and put a bag on his head. At night he somehow managed to get loose, after which he wandered for several hours.”
