For the fourth time, the Investigative Committee dismissed the case of torture of a mother of many children in the Irkutsk police department

In the Irkutsk region, the Investigative Committee issued another resolution to terminate the criminal case of torture of Marina Ruzaeva, a mother of many children, at the Usolsky police department in 2016, reports the Public Verdict Foundation.

According to human rights activists, the investigator for particularly important cases of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee, Colonel of Justice Roman Nazyrov, did not find the crime and the guilt of the police.

In November 2018, the case of torture of Ruzaeva was closed for the third time. In January it became known that the termination was canceled .

Ruzaeva said that in January 2016 the police came to her home. They asked her to go to the department and look at photographs of the suspects in the murder of her neighbor.

According to Ruzaeva, the police at the department began to torture her, demanding that she “tell everything.” A bag was placed over the woman's head, and her hands were handcuffed behind her back. A few days later, Ruzaeva went to the hospital, doctors recorded many bruises and burns.

At the same time, in January, was opened a case of falsification of evidence (Article 303 of the Criminal Code) against investigator Sergei Lysykh in the case of torture of Ruzaeva. Human rights activists reported that the investigator could have been involved in replacing a jacket with signs of beating. Ruzaeva was recognized as a victim.
