The Ministry of Internal Affairs has put the former director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, Roman Rubanov, on the wanted list, according to the department’s website.
According to the current director of FBK, Ivan Zhdanov, we are talking about a criminal case under Article 315 of the Criminal Code (failure to comply with a court decision that has entered into legal force) in connection with the publication of the film “He’s Not Dimon for You.” He added that he and the foundation’s lawyer, Vyacheslav Gimadi, had already been interrogated in this case as witnesses.
Then Zhdanov published on Instagram a notice from the investigator of the Federal Bailiff Service that on December 27, 2018, a criminal case was opened against Rubanov under Part 2 of Article 315 of the Criminal Code (malicious failure by a representative of a commercial or other organization to comply with a court decision that has entered into force). According to it, Rubanov faces up to two years in prison.
the search for Rubanov Publicist Ilya Remeslo was the first to report . He claims that a criminal case was recently opened against the former director of FBK, but did not specify under what article.
“A criminal case could have been initiated due to Rubanov’s malicious evasion of the execution of a court decision on one of the videos published by FBK,” Remeslo wrote.
In the fall of 2017, Rubanov was detained and taken to the Moscow office of the Federal Bailiff Service. He later said that the FSSP was interested in opening a case against him under Article 315 of the Criminal Code due to his refusal to remove fragments of the film “He’s Not Dimon for You” with businessman Alisher Usmanov. FBK, in turn, insisted that it had fully complied with the court’s instructions.
In the fall of 2018, the State Duma introduced criminal liability for refusal to delete or refute information found by a court to be unreliable.
FBK was founded by politician Alexei Navalny. Rubanov resigned as director of the fund at the end of 2018.
