Anti -fascist from Barnaul spoke about the promise of police officers to throw drugs and interrogation about associates

The anti-fascist and Marxist from Barnaul, who did not call his name, told the OVD-Info that the police asked him about other left-wing activists and promised, in case of refusal of cooperation, to initiate cases of drug storage and extremism.

The young man on February 25 came from the Art College in Novoaltaysk, when he was detained by several police officers in civilian clothes. They answered questions about the reasons for the detention to the activist that he allegedly committed an offense.

“On the way, they asked about my attitude to drugs, illegal immigration, whether I belong to radical left -hand groups,” says the anti -fascist. “I replied that I did not belong.” They also asked where he and his relatives live. The activist asked him to take him to the local police department, but he was “obscenely replied to him that they could know where to arrange an interrogation.”

As a result, the young man was taken to one of Barnaul police near the October Square. There he was taken to a certain office and asked to get and turn off the phone. The same two people who delayed him in turn. Presumably, investigators.

“The first investigator told me that if I call people present in the video and inform you how to find them, then they will let me go,” the young man continues. “If not, they will take a“ monkey ”to the homeless and keep there for a day.”

In the video, which is discussed, a brawl came up between anti -fascists and ultra -right activists. According to the young man, in July 2018, a group of 15 right-handed views attacked his four acquaintances.

Witnesses of what happened report that young people with Nazi symbols beat anti-fascists and after someone sprayed the spray, fled. According to the interlocutor of the ATS-Info, because of the skirmish, they opened a criminal case, and one of the attackers has already suffered a punishment.

Although they talked with an anti -fascist in the framework of a criminal case, he believes that the police wanted to know about all the participants in the anti -fascist movement in the city.

The activist says that he was threatened with a criminal case due to the fact that he published a swastika in his public in VKontakte, where he lay out his drawings on the topics of confrontation Nazism, Punk and OI! According to him, the swastika is present there only in a negative way.

“I was told that they would come up with a terrible story about my activity, that they will connect the media that will report about the detention of an extremist, that they will learn about this in my educational institution and expel me,” says the anti -fascist. “Then the second investigator said that if I didn’t speak, the following will happen: he pulled an awl from under the table, laid on the table and said that other employees were in the next office, he would break his eyebrow on the cabinet and say that I attacked him.”

Further, according to the interlocutor of the OTD-Info, they told him that if he continues not to tell anything, then he would find narcotic substances at his home or in his pockets, noting that "you can have no doubt of this." The activist did not tell anything except that he walked with the victims shortly before the incident, but he practically does not know them.

The anti -fascist was released from the police department on the condition that he promises to find out about young people from the video and the next day he will tell everything. Ten minutes after leaving the department, they called him and said that he might not come if he reports all the information through WhatsApp.

On February 28, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Altai Territory contacted the ATS-Info. According to the representative of the press service, the young man was invited to the police department as part of the criminal investigation under the article on hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code). The case was opened in the summer of 2018, the activist himself has no procedural status in this matter.

The department claims that the young man was in the department for one hour and police officers did not provide any psychological pressure on him. Nevertheless, the State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has appointed a check on the facts set forth in the publication of the ATS-Info.
