In the Land Court of Munich, the trial of a German citizen Sergei Kiselev, the nephew of TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev, began. Sergei Kiselyov is accused of being trained in 2014 to take part in hostilities in eastern Ukraine.
At the meeting, a German police officer said that the reason for checking against Sergei Kiselev was an interview given by Dmitry Kiselev to Belarusian journalists in 2016. Then the TV presenter said that his nephew from Germany was also fighting in the Donbass. Sergei Kiselev was detained in Bulgaria in 2018 at the request of German investigators.
48-year-old Sergei Kiselev, according to RTVI, pleaded guilty to preparing for hostilities, but said that he had not killed anyone. Consideration of the Kiselyov case should take three days. The prosecution believes that a new case can also be brought against him - about direct participation in hostilities.
