The State Duma offered to double the penalty for the distribution of information harmful to children

Senator Lyudmila Bokova introduced a bill to the State Duma, which increases fines for the distribution of information among children that harm their health and development.

According to the document, a fine for citizens will amount to three to four thousand rubles, for officials - from 10 to 20 thousand, for legal entities - from 40 to 100 thousand with the suspension of the organization for 90 days.

Educational institutions will also oblige to develop programs for ensuring information security of students. The explanatory note says that the law is necessary to "strengthen responsibility for violations to ensure the safety of children on the Internet."

Bokova is a co -author of the bills of punishment for disrespect for power on the Internet and for fake news, as well as a bill on the autonomous work of the Russian Internet.
