What is Svepakov, Maxim Vitorgan and Maria Zakharova in common? They (and another fifty people) responded last year to the journalist’s proposal - Irina Shikhman "to talk?" The show "with low social responsibility" on the YouTube channel is released every week and over a year of its existence gained more than a quarter of a million subscribers.
Irina Shikhman, which commentators on the Internet call “Dudem in a skirt”, began a journalistic career in Tomsk, then worked on various metropolitan television channels, and now conquers the so -called “new” media. In her native Tomsk, she came for a while for family reasons. And she gave an interview to her colleagues, reporters of the News Agency TV-2.
- Why and how did you decide to leave Tomsk at one time?
- I fell in love and left for love - even the university did not graduate. In St. Petersburg. And happily spent two years of life there. First of all, I bought a TV there. And she began to watch local programs to understand where I want to go to work. And she could not find anything worthy. I worked at a local STS for a month and a half. I went to take off the trainee with correspondents with correspondents. And, each time, coming home, I saw my text on the air, but voiced by a regular correspondent. Then they began to be aired. But they did not take the state. And I went to the 5th channel-to the news. I wrote a text about the authorities that behaves incorrectly (I came from Tomsk!), After which the editor asked me: "What channel did you come to settle down?" And I was asked not to come anymore. It was 2005.
And then the NTV channel bought me. I am always waved - I was in the morning entertainment broadcasting, I had nothing to do with this propaganda at the end of the day
I had a terrible depress. Because it is difficult when you make one of the most popular programs in Tomsk, hang on billboards, you have an awesome friendly team, and then you leave and they say to you: "Who are you and why?"
Petersburgers are snobs. In Moscow, this is not - they take everyone. And they especially love people from the province. Because they want little money and work until night ... Having worked as a chef-editor on the Baltika radio, I got a job in the branch of the "Details" branch in St. Petersburg. She took off the first two plots, and they were immediately taken on the federal air. On weekends, we had the "television" Peter - Moscow.
And then I moved to Moscow to Maiorov, excited about seven years for him. And, probably, I would never have gone, if not for circumstances. Then there was the Moscow-24 channel, I had three copyright projects there. And then the NTV channel bought me. I am always waved - I was in the morning entertainment broadcasting, I had nothing to do with this propaganda at the end of the day.

- Was Majorov hard?
- It was hard with his character - he is not a very simple person, but today I understand that everything that I can in the profession is the skills of a portrait interview is his school. I always and everywhere say that this is my teacher. Although he, of course, is a tyrant and a despot. The man-actor. Today he plays a comedy, which means everyone will laugh at the office. Tomorrow he has a drama, everyone will cry. Sitting in the office until 11. Then he has a thriller ... So we lived like that. At the same time, when this person came from some trip, he, as a good mother, brought everyone expensive gifts. I remembered everyone’s birthday - it was very important for him. And you get used to it.
These are the rules of the game, you live like this: work is a family, you are there from morning to night. But when I quit, when we all quit, we thought - why was it so to work? After all, work is work, and life is life.
-Question about work: Are there any samples in the profession that you are guided by? Borrow something like an interviewer?
- I always focused on Ksyusha Sobchak. It is cool to observe the person who grows up. And it turns from a “doll girl” who depicts a drunk in a “blonde in chocolate” and shows her panties to everything, in a very serious journalist. It was an idol for me. Until that time, until she went to the polls.
Now I have opened an awesome show and I recommend it to everyone-Netflix released David Letterman's show interviews (which Saturday Night Live did), it is called "My next guest does not need to be represented." It can be found "VKontakte" - there are issues with subtitles if anyone does not know English. He was visiting - Barack Obama, George Clooney ... You look at the binge. But it comes out once a month, an infection. How can this be done once a month?
- “Vedud”, “#are a glimpse of”, “And to talk?” ... What do you think, why right now the interview genre rolled on the Internet?
- Everything is simply explained. Firstly, Yura Duda showed everyone a separate site, where, it turns out, television people can come off. And secondly, why all this began to be repeated-I think, not even because of the success of Dudia. Just from all television genres, an interview is the simplest thing in terms of cost. That is, you can put a camera and ask a person questions. Even if you do not understand what a video is a video, you can’t organize five cameras and set a television light, you can ask any question. Therefore, everyone writes the interview.
In fact, if you plunge into the world of YouTube - the one that was to Dudia - there are all genres there. There is its own film critic - Badcomedian. He makes very funny expensive issues. There is news there. For example, I really love such a humorous-analytical program of Russia Not Today-a dude sits, reads the eyeliners as if to the news of the week ...
There is a parody genre. All these Villogs. How many culinary programs are there - Makarevich has now gone to YouTube and makes his “smack”. There are direct broadcasts. There is a journalist-investigator-this is Navalny. Just an interview - I think it is commercially convenient.
- What is the secret of Dudia, in your opinion?
Here is complete freedom. And I think that the success of Dudia is that he suddenly began to ask questions that no one asked on TV for a long time
- Yes, everything is simple. People are all tired of the television, which is too artificial. You know, when I myself switched to YouTube, I caught myself on the fact that - TSO! Can you afford it? Seriously? You can not steam at all about the labels on the screen? And do not stop all that? You can drink what you want, can you put water on the floor?! On TV, we lick the picture. And I was still in the “Details Stories”, where we followed every speck of dust: “God, the outlet in the frame! Oh, no! We rearrange the whole frame to the other side of the apartment.”
And here is complete freedom. And I think that the success of Dudia is that he suddenly began to ask questions that no one asked on TV for a long time.
A very small number of people have been signed on the rain TV channel - while our people pay for content with a creak. Especially in provincial cities. And so he appeared - the hero who will now ask what worries them. Actually, the interviewer should always follow this. You are a representative of the people and serve as a kind of guide between the viewer and the guest. But on TV, everyone forgot about it for a long time, and Dud remembered. Well, he is also an impudent guy, and it’s interesting to watch such.
I terribly envy him in his incredible self -confidence. I don't have this. I'm worried. And if I worry, then this is visible. And he is smart in this matter. He can be confident with everyone.
- What distinguishes a person who leads a secular conversation with a guest from an interviewer, leading a conflict conversation affecting acute problems? Would you be interested to drift in this direction?
This is a psychological game with oneself
- Now everyone is indicating to me - here is Polozkova, Lazarev - this is such a conversation by heart. I do it very well, because I worked with this a lot of time. And a conflict interview is new to me. I have not tried it, and I am interested. But this generally needs to be rebuilt.
In the genre of secular conversation, I can not even prepare for an interview. Seriously. In the sense of Wikipedia, she read, understood something more or less and went. I will reveal the hero already on stamps - my own journalistic.
And even when a person does not say anything at all, I have five questions, “openers”, with which he will tell something.
And this is impossible in the conflict genre. You must be as ready for the interview. Today, it takes me at least a whole day to prepare for the conversation. I have been sitting from eight in the morning to one in the morning, and by the time of arriving in the studio, it seems to me that I know everything, up to the years, days-that a person happened, because in the conflict one cannot know something. If you are thrown a phrase, you must beat it right away. "They throw a ball at you - you have to get a racket."
And in this regard, this is terribly interesting - especially if you have a heavy guest, "sewn", such as Zakharova. With which I understood that she would have any question. And moreover, she will crush me.
This is an excitement even at the preparation stage: so, now I will ask this question, and here I am driving a person in a trap, and here we come out of it ... This is a psychological game with ourselves.
- Do you consider an interview with Maria Zakharova your luck or failure?
- failure, of course! Big! Although I tried to show it to professionals and they said - everything is fine. I knew in advance: we call Zakharov, I screw up, but I will do it. Because I need to study somewhere. If I always write to myself with my loyal to myself, then what?
And I do not think that failure is bad. This is a cool lesson. Then it will be better. It is impossible to learn anything when you are stroked on the head. Perhaps I am a girl of Sergey Mayorov, who rarely strokes the head. You are mistaken, correct your mistakes and get better.
- What do you consider your luck in the project "And talk?"?
- There were a lot of interviews for which there were not a shame. But if we say, “describe to me Ira Shikhman,” I would show an interview with Tatyana Lazareva, a film about the Gogol Center-it was very important for me to do this because I love this theater. And his actors. Which are incomprehensible others - not the ones I used to work with. And it was a tremendous pleasure.
There are not a very large number of views. I assumed this - we have 4% of the population go to the theater in principle. But that response that followed, this is extremely rare.
It’s nice when people write to you: “But we bought a ticket to the theater ...”, “But I got an occasion to Moscow, and we are going to this performance ...”, “What will you advise?” And then people make a selfie and write: "Thanks to Ira Shikhman for sending us to the Gogol Center." There is nothing more pleasant. Not "Ira, you are so cool!", No. And the fact that the person took and performed some kind of action.
-Are there any forbidden topics for you, for which you will never take up and not for any rugs?
- I will never engage in propaganda for any money. I just will not agree with my conscience. I was offered to work in such programs, and when I sat for six months without work - even in Moscow, I did not go.
- And if you simulate the situation that there is a topic that is interesting to you, but your audience is unlikely to worry. Will you spend strength, energy to produce an important content for you?
-I have some heroes who are terribly interesting to me. But I understand that besides me and five other people no one knows them ... No, I will not. Unfortunately, we always fought for ratings. But on the other hand, and about the Gogol Center, I also understood that this was not a million views. I made it. This is a political statement to some extent.
- How do you feel about the Hatytam? Do they touch, entertain, annoy? Or do they give motivation to change something in themselves? Or is it just part of the profession - given ...
I really roared sat. They still put pressure on the patient. They say that you are nobody. I suddenly found out that we have a bunch of anti -Semites
- Never to be a part of the profession for a television officer. We did not have feedback at all. We received the figures of the rating that said-so much looked at you. And all. And then we were faced with this uncle, who is talking to the TV.
And for me it was ... shock. Especially when you begin to do something new alone, not a correspondent in some kind of program, but you are Ira Shikhman. All bribes are from you. And it was terribly difficult.
I really roared sat. They still put pressure on the patient. They say that you are nobody. I suddenly found out that we have a bunch of anti -Semites. In general, in life I have never encountered it.
Thanks to friends. Once I told them-this one wrote this, that ... and the guys began to read it out loud and laugh. And at first I shot my friends on Instagram, who sit and read these comments with different voices, it turned out so funny that we decided to do this with a heading at the end of the program. And when I began to win back and invent funny answers, I looked at it in a completely different way, I began to relate easily.
But if you reject all garbage about nationality, appearance, the wrong sizes of the ankles, as they wrote to me, then you understand that people are not idiots and you can listen to them. If they write that you do not need to impose your point of view, then you are trying to observe yourself: and really, maybe I'm doing it?
And YouTube also has trends in which everyone seeks to get to. So, Utub first reads the number of comments. And the more srach in your comments, the more profitable to you. Therefore, write, dear haters, we will quickly fall into trends!
- Do you work without an editor?
- Yes. I have a second creative unit on the program "And talk?" - This is my best friend Nikita Like, who is the director of this program. He is responsible for the picture, but since he is also a journalist, he helps me a lot with layout. With him I can consult with which question it is better to start. Or I throw off his master, and he says - oh, what a boredom, cut out the first 20 minutes.
- Is this a fundamental position to work without an editor? In my opinion, it is important to run up for an interview on someone ...
- Probably more correctly - and so all professionals who can afford it work - have an editor. But I do not know how to work with the second author in the team. My creative disagreements begin. And secondly, I can’t imagine that preparing for an interview I trust some other person. It seems to me that there is no such person - maybe I simply have not met - which would be prepared more carefully than me.
And to run-in questions, I have Nikita Like and my young man Evgeny Kazachkov, a playwright who is dinner at home, and I run up all the questions on it-is it stupid to ask those, and if you turn in this direction? .. He is a walking encyclopedia and helps a lot.
- How is your show on the Internet monetized? Obviously, the project is still costly in terms of production ...
- Any show on the Internet is monetized in two ways. There is an advertisement for YouTube, which annoys everyone because it appears every five minutes. She brings money for views. This is a little money, but if you have a large channel and video collects a million, it is all summarized and good money is obtained. And the second is integrated advertising when the video is sewn into the body of the program. And here we can already earn good money. True, we have just begun to do it. Well, then, I don’t really hide: the channel has the owner. And I get a salary. All the income that I talked about, they go to the owner.
- And the owner is? ..
- "Moscow Media." Holding. Now you will ask me about censorship. I easily answered this question even "Echo of Moscow." I "Echo" asks me: "How do you exist - the government holding sponsor you? What do you have with censorship?" To which I replied: "What do you exist for, the Gazprom-Media government holding?"
So far, everything is in order. You can see me - I do not censor myself and my questions.
- And if the pressure appears?
- We agreed right away that we do not have this. And if it appears, I am forced to engage in propaganda or cut out what I do not want and think it is important - I get up and leave. While everyone is keeping their promises.
- How quickly in this kind of programs begin to pay off?
This is an awesome feeling from my profession, which I had long been forgotten
- We have scored 260 thousand subscribers in a year. This is a lot. Because try to post the video and you will see how difficult it is. And all advertisers begin after 100 thousand subscribers. I am proud that we have no video left, which has less than 100 thousand views. And there are several that have gained more than a million views. But it's hard. And when I give lectures, I warn the students: get ready that this will be a long way, so get struck by the second work.
But in theory, there is such an opportunity. If it were my channel, I would spend less money on production, but I would have paid off my salary and money spent on shooting.
On YouTube, the main thing is stability. 52 issues "And talk?" Just as it was on the TV at one time: your program should be released on one specific day. Because the viewer gets used to it, waiting. Remember how we were waiting for the "other day" Parfenov? We still went to the bathhouse on weekends, and she went on this day, and I recorded VHS and rushed home to look. Now people are returning to the same on YouTube.
Because if you lingered for a day - you did not have time with installation, everyone, your fans are furious - "Where is the program? I planned the evening for it ..." They are waiting. This is an awesome feeling from my profession, which I had long been forgotten.

- The traditional question about plans - who is the next?
- I won’t call heroes, because I'm afraid to jinx it.
