Residents of Sochi fined for distributing religious leaflets

In Sochi, two local residents were fined 5,000 rubles for distributing religious leaflets. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The men, on behalf of the religious groups Bhagwan Shri Rajinsh and Advaita Vedanta, handed out leaflets with excerpts from the books The Mustard Seed and The Message of Truth and the Straight Path. It is reported that the Sochi residents did not have the necessary written permission from the religious organizations themselves. The check was carried out by employees of the prosecutor's office and the FSB.

The press service of the prosecutor's office of the Krasnodar Territory clarifies that the men were found guilty of carrying out illegal missionary activities (part 4 of article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
