In Tula, Center E detained Nestor Chertilov, a former member of the Popular Resistance Association. This was reported to OVD-Info by Dmitry Karasev, an activist of the movement, who was contacted by the detainee.
They came to Chertilov's house, as he said, "with a warrant." How exactly, he could not explain. The official reason for the detention is the prohibited symbolism on his page on VKontakte.
Nevertheless, the officers ask the activist who organized the “Hands off the Russian Kuriles” action in Tula and threaten him with arrest for 15 days if he does not name names.
Dmitry Karasev believes that the “forbidden symbolism” on the village of a former ally is a pretext to find the organizers of the action.
On February 7, in Tula, ANS activists posted a banner “Hands off the Russian Kuriles” on the bridge.
