Nizkiz. "Introvert"

Nizkiz appeared in 2008 in Mogilev is the most striking and dynamically developing Belarusian indie-rock band at the moment. In their homeland, their concerts take place with invariable Angels. Recently, the group writing songs and in Russian began to appear in Russia: on March 16, they play in the Petersburg club MOD, and on March 17 - in the Moscow “16 tons”. And the matter also goes to the Angels. Nizkiz just shot a clip for the song "Introvert", which we offer to see right now-and read a blitz interview with group members.

- You come from Mogilev. As well as already known in Russia “LSP” and IWA . Have you ever crossed with them at the Mogilev replazes?

Serega: I constantly intersected with IWA because I played with their bass. And Roma, at that time known as Rom Ufo , came to us at rehearsals. It happens that he will sit in the break for drums. The drummer tells him: “Roma, why did you sit for the drums, are you not a drummer?!” And Roma replies: “I’m in the Electronics to God, now I’ll sit, play, figure out what's what - and I’ll be God on the drums!”

Dima: Yes, I and Roma from LSP participated for some time in one project- John Doe , which is now known as “dirt”. Now with the "LSP" we have one concert sound engineer - Denis Manok. Vasya from Iowa was my mentor in the plays on the drums, and became friends on this basis. I remember very well how at the end of 2009 I shot them like Primovideo before moving to St. Petersburg. So we have a lot in common))). We still communicate and make friends.

Lenya: Personally, I did not have to intersect with any of them at the reperts. In the case of IWA - they left for St. Petersburg long before I moved to live in Mogilev. And where the “LSP” was rehearsed, I am at all without a concept. In any case, I have not met them at our point)).

- You are represented as the Belarusian Ocean Yelzy. How do you like this comparison?

Seryoga: Is this because we have songs in a beautiful incomprehensible language? I like a comparison with “O”, but our Sasha is more like a lyricist than a physicist.

Lenya: Easter for guitarists - to make such comparisons, you need to master the harmonic and melodic analysis;). I always liked the “oh” more than the rest of the wave of music that everyone loved after the film “Brat-2”, so I even flatter a comparison with it.

Dima: We treat this normally. People always need landmarks to describe something. We will try that after some time people say: “Oh, these guys have something from Nizkiz !”

Sasha: And we also hope that we will soon be able to collect the same huge sites)).

- Tell us about the song and video "Introvert" - how did they appear?

Lenya: The song first appeared in Sasha in my head. And at the first rehearsals, she sounded completely different. And then we dragged the midi-keyboard and drum sampler to the base and began to experiment with electronics. As a result, it turned out to be such a sound as now - with a pulsating piano, electronic percussion and pades.

Sasha: The song “Introvert”, like most of our songs, has a very real story that we were able to tell that way. The songs “Introvert” and “Lusterka” are connected not only by the fact that they were produced one after another and, in fact, are a continuation of one story, but also a general mood. And if in the "Introvert" the hero tries to "hide himself from people", then in the "Lusterk" he already wants to look into himself and understand what exactly he avoids. All this pours into the idea that we embodied in two clips. Only this time we used the reception of flashback (to the clip "Lusterka") to show what led the protagonist to his current position. Did he manage to find all the answers? Who knows - maybe this is not the final part, and then it is worth waiting for the continuation of the story! We liked it).

- What do you think about the state of Russian rock? What rock groups from Russia do you like?

Seryoga: It seems to me that Russian rock has recently reached some new level. Only I still did not understand whether this level is higher or lower. With great sympathy, I have the projects of Naik Borzov, and now in my player the group "Vladimir Sentimental Salon" plays.

Lenya: Honestly, I do not think about the state of Russian rock at all. Too much will have to be generalized. In terms of energy at concerts, for example, I like “porn films”.

- Recently, the news came that Alexander Lukashenko was going to advance for the sixth time. Will you go to vote for him?

Lenya: Really news).

Seryoga: As they say in Belarus: "Will you go to Lukashenko's elections?"
