This was announced by the editor -in -chief of the magazine "Theater" Marina Davydova.
Maya Iosifovna Turovskaya was born in 1924 in Kharkov, graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University (1947) and the theater faculty of GITIS (1948), where it was a student of Abram Efros.
Since 1969, she worked as a researcher at the Institute of World Economics and International Relations, since 1973 - the leading researcher at the Research Institute of Theory, the History of Cinema.
Since 1949, it was published in the magazines Theater, Soviet Screen, Cinema Art, Kidovy notes, Moscow Observer and other publications.
The author of the retrospective of the “Cinema of the totalitarian era” at the International Film Festival in Moscow in 1989, the scenarios of documentaries, including the paintings of Mikhail Romm “Ordinary Fascism” (together with M. Romm and Yu. Khanyutin), monographs dedicated to the theater and cinema.
