Outside the capitals, they are not used by tourists, but mainly business trips and those who come from small cities to regional centers to study or treatment. The owners of the hostels told Medusa why, due to the decision of the State Duma in the country, there will be more dens-and how the remaining players in the market will offer guests to rent sleeping linen in order to circumvent the law.

The attitude to this bill is certainly negative. In fact, they adopted this law very quickly, although all associations fought against it for several years. As a result, he will hit business, it is not yet clear. At least until we see explanations and comments on this law. One way or another, many hostels will probably close, and both entrepreneurs and clients will lose this.

[State Duma deputy Galina] Khovanskaya is trying to fight gray and black hostels who worked as an overnight stay, [but these] bums will remain. The problem will not be solved in any way, while the law blocks oxygen to absolutely all [hostels]. After all, Khovanskaya does not distinguish the hostels, mini-hotels and these overnight stays, for her all the hostels are brothels. There are many good hostels who can give odds to hotels with one, two and even three stars in quality of services, service and visualization. On the other hand, perhaps the idea of ​​the bill arose in connection with the lobbying of the interests of hotels. Still, small accommodation facilities are much cheaper for the consumer. But again: the client who stops with us will not go to the hotel for three to four thousand rubles-these are different customers. Khovanskaya says that there are a lot of complaints from the residents that there are brothels, drug addicts everywhere in hostels, everyone smoke and yell, but this is far from reality. The former mayor of [Yekaterinburg Evgeny] Roizman represented statistics that there were about 300 complaints in a year and only one of them was a hostel.

In the case of our hostel, we are friends with our neighbors, and they are only in the plus, because we protect the territory and peace of citizens and support cleanliness in the entrance.

I don’t know how the majority of entrepreneurs will react to this bill. So far, we have not decided for ourselves either to continue to be: to go to the non-residential fund or close, and maybe there will be some changes in the law after all, or the Federation Council will not sign it. But it is obvious that one of the entrepreneurs will go into the shadows, and from this the state will lose taxes, and people will be jobs. Again, I emphasize that the hostels I know will remain, because they work in black.

On the one hand, the fact that the regulation of our field of activity will finally appear is good. Because when a check with hotel standards arrives - or not at all tied to regulatory documents, it is very difficult to comply with it. Each check each time has some kind of his own vision, and it’s hard to work with it. But at the same time, this bill is bad, because if it comes into force, a large number of hostels will be reduced, which will destroy, especially in non -tourist cities with a small number of hotels and hostels, places with inexpensive accommodation. Anyway, the more the observation and control elements, the worse it is always for business.

My hostel is located in a residential building, but we just two steps left until we transfer the room into the status of non -residential, all the papers are already ready for this. As soon as Mrs. Khovanskaya began an active discussion of the bill tightening the location of the hostels, we pre -pre -have this issue.

In my opinion, those who own, for example, have a hotel and hostels, so they will have to work. And everyone who directly engaged only hostels - representatives of small businesses - they will experience difficult times. This is I say exclusively about cities of a non -tourist orientation.

My hostel is in a residential building, but the premises of my hostel have a non -residential status. I don’t see anything terrible in this bill globally. For example, I myself would not want a hostel behind my wall. Because I would not want a large number of people in my house to go back and forth. This is all through the general entrance, and taking into account how we are now engaged in cleaning once a month, it is easy to imagine what it is.

Entrepreneurs will be sorry, of course. Obviously, many will have to leave the market. On the other hand, the mass opening of hostels in the last two years has been associated with a football championship. Everyone already knew that this bill was being discussed, it was necessary to take it into account. Those who opened the hostel in residential apartments risked and knew what he was going to. And now many of them will look for loopholes in this bill. At the tourism safety forum, hosts owners are already discussing that they will serve it so that they allegedly simply rent out rooms, including those providing bedding services, cleaning. This is only one of the options, you can always come up with a lot of loopholes.

The law does not have retroactive force, so it is not clear whether it will apply to already working hostels, whether they will give the minimum term to bring the status of the premises in line.
