The BDT built the "Theater of the Future"

In St. Petersburg, the architectural project “Theater of the Future” was opened , which is located inside the building of the main scene of the BDT. The opening is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the theater.

In the new space on the Fontanka embankment, 56 has its own scene, lobby, separate entrance and buffet. It is a two -story design of plywood built inside the theater. About 30 spectators can fit in it.

Outside, plywood are painted red, and inside - in gold. Presentations will be held in the space: the repertoire is now consisted with students of the director's course.

According to the organizers of the project, the design is a tribute to the artists who at the beginning of the 20th century designed BDT performances. On one of the walls of the structure, memorial signs were placed.

BDT on February 15 turned 100 years old.
