Police officers detained 15 people before the start of a coordinated rally against the isolation of the Internet on Sakharov Avenue in Moscow, OVD-Info reports.

Most of the detainees are activists of the Libertarian Party, which organizes the event. They handed out blue balloons at the entrance to the rally.

• The State Duma is now considering a bill on the autonomous operation of the Russian segment of the Internet. Its authors propose to create an infrastructure that will allow the Russian segment to work in isolation - such a need is explained by "external threats".
