Chairman of the Chechen Parliament Magomed Daudov published a video message threatening Chechen video blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. This is reported by BBC Russian Service.
The reason for the threats was Abdurakhmanov's words that he despises the first head of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov, and his memory. After that, Daudov announced a blood feud to the blogger live on Instagram. Abdurakhmanov himself posted a copy of the video on his Telegram channel.
In the video, Daudov declares that he and his “brothers” will search for Abudrakhmanov until their death and consider him their enemy. At the same time, the politician emphasized that they were not going to kill the blogger, but simply planned to “have fun”:
We will settle this as it should, we will settle it according to Muslim laws. We are not going to kill you, we will amuse you in an amazing way. From now on, when you go to bed, make sure you lock the door. Make sure it's hooked up. When you go outside, look around. If you suddenly get a kick from behind, keep in mind that this is not an accident.
Abdurakhmanov told the BBC he was not afraid, but was taking the threat seriously and would step up security measures. The blogger claims that he received information about the search by the Chechen authorities for "performers" in Europe - at the moment he lives in Poland.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that he did not hear Daudov's speech and added: “In general, you know that in the legal field there is no such thing as a tradition of blood feud, and this can hardly fit into the legal field. After all, we live in a state of law.”
After that, Daudov called the blogger for the first time. He asked Abdurakhmanov to express his claims, calmly reacted to criticism and even promised to help him in connection with the criminal case initiated against the blogger after the conflict with Islam Kadyrov.
