The Office of the FSB of the Ivanovo region opened a criminal case on the public justification of terrorism (part 1 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) against Islam Tukhuzhev, convicted in the case of an armed attack on Nalchik in 2005 (“Case 58”). This was reported to the OTD-Info by journalist Nadezhda Kevorkova.
Kevorkov learned about the new criminal case from the relatives of Tukhuzhev, with whom she has long maintained a connection. The journalist published on her Facebook page the decree of the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of the Ivanovo Region to initiate a criminal case against Tukhuzhev. The document states that on February 18, 2017, a man, "in the presence of at least three prisoners, made statements aimed at a public justification for terrorism."
The department refers to the linguistic conclusion of the FSB forensic institution, according to which there are statements in the words of Tukhuzhev, justifying the terrorist activities of the Jebhat al-Nusra organization.

The case was opened on February 20, 2019, that is, two years after the incriminated case of the incident. “We do not know who the expert is not named - so we could at least turn to him and find out in what form the words of Tukhuzhev are represented,” Kevorkova notes. - Is it written or oral speech? This is what is recorded from the eavesdropping device in the cell, or the cellmates were able to reproduce the name “Jebhat al-Nusra” and know what it is? There are a lot of questions. ”
Kevorkova believes that the case was not specifically started for two years so that a new term appeared before the release of Tukhuzhev. In conclusion, the man spent more than 13 years, and before his release from the colony he had been left for about a year.
The journalist found out that Tukhuzhev has been in the EPT (a single chamber -type premises) since December 2017. The mother of Tukhuzhev since 2015, when he was sent to the colony, is denied dates with his son, explaining this by the fact that he is placed in a penalty area. In addition, Tukhuzhev’s mother complained about restrictions on money transferred to her son. She was officially informed for this that in the case of her son, the law “On the opposition of the legalization of income received by criminal means and the financing of terrorism” applies.
A second criminal case was also instituted against the other convicted person in the case of an armed attack on Nalchik, Albert Begidov-he allegedly pushed the IK-6 employee of the Kirov region, from which he “experienced physical pain”. Kevorkova wrote that, according to her information, they said directly to the man that he would not be released until the end of the World Cup. He was supposed to be released in November 2017, after 12 years of imprisonment. However, in July 2018, Begidov was sentenced to three years in colony.
