A court in Crimea extended the arrest of blogger Memedeminov, accused of calls for terrorism, for two months.

On the same day, the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol considered the lawyer’s complaint against the decision to initiate a criminal case against Memedeminov. The defense asked to close the case due to the lack of corpus delicti in the blogger’s actions. The complaint was rejected.

Memedeminov is accused of public calls for terrorism via the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). As “Crimea” clarifies . In these videos, Memedeminov spoke about Islam and the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, which is recognized as terrorist in Russia.
