The first channel explained the abolition of the show on the air of the documentary “Leaving Nonerland”, telling about the sexual connections of the singer Michael Jackson with children. The press service of the channel said that "the premiere of the film at the Sundance festival and HBO television channel provoked a contradictory social reaction, speculation and aggression from both supporters and opponents of the film." In this regard, the first channel postponed the display to its Internet resources, TASS reports .

The two -part documentary "Leaving Neverland", filmed by the American television channel HBO and the scandal in the USA, planned to show on Channel One late in the evening on March 15 and 16.

The fact that the tape will appear on the Russian air was one of the first to announce the television producer and presenter of the Rain TV channel Mikhail Kozyrev. He noted that "Ernst with space speed translated both episodes of the film and show them this weekend," and also predicted the audience’s reaction - "Hands off Michael Jackson!", "Why should we believe them?" And "behind all this, only PR and thirst for profit!".

The premiere of "Leaving Neverland" took place at the beginning of the year at the Sandance Film Festival, and the HBO channel showed it in early March. "Nonerland" in the title of the picture - the Ranch of Michael Jackson, where many young children constantly visited.

In the film, two men, Wade Robson and James Seefchak, for four hours, with all the details, talk about how Jackson seduced them when they were children. In particular, according to them, Jackson taught them oral sex. At that time, Robson was 7 years old, Sifchak - 10. Their parents were so blinded by love for the singer that they actually thought that he was teaching their scenic skill. Official contracts were even concluded with Robson and Seefchak.

The film caused a sharp discontent of the fans of Michael Jackson and his relatives. The latter, in particular, indicated that Robson and Seyfchak previously stated that there were no harassment from the singer. Also, the Pop Star family recalled that the heroes “Leaving Neverland” after the death of Jackson in 2009 tried to file a lawsuit with a claim for compensation, but the court rejected it. Now Robson and Seyfchak say that they were silent for many years due to fear of publicity and its consequences.

Jackson's family also sued the HBO in the Los Angeles Supreme Court. They accused the TV channel of violating the contract with the singer of 1992, which stated that journalists would not defame the honor and dignity of the performer. The family requires paying $ 100 million.
