In Moscow, seven more employees of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) were given subpoenas for questioning due to the “He’s Not Dimon” investigation about Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. This was reported by Mediazona with reference to FBK employee Ruslan Shaveddinov.
The interrogations are taking place as part of a criminal case under the article on failure to comply with a court verdict (Article 315 of the Criminal Code): earlier he ordered to cut out from the film an episode about billionaire Alisher Usmanov giving a bribe to Dmitry Medvedev. A case was opened against the former director of FBK, Roman Rubanov.
First, FBK director Ivan Zhdanov and FBK lawyer Vyacheslav Gimadi were interrogated in this case. In early March, five more employees were summoned for questioning. Now seven more employees have been served with summonses. Gimadi, in a conversation with the publication, refused to name their names, but later it became known that one of those who received the summons was FBK lawyer Lyubov Sobol. She herself announced this on Twitter.
Roman Rubanov himself was put on the wanted list. He told Mediazona that at the end of December he went abroad on vacation. Around the same time, his name appeared in the criminal investigation database. After this, Rubanov decided that he would not return to Russia in the near future. According to the ex-director of FBK, he was specifically put on the wanted list to force him to stay abroad.
FBK reported that it complied with this instruction. However, the founder of the Foundation, Alexey Navalny, refused to delete the investigation from his personal YouTube channel.
