Previously, the city administration drew up protocols under Article 5.11 of the Administrative Code (election campaigning by persons prohibited from doing so) against Korovayny and two other deputies. According to the man, they supported an independent candidate in the election of the head of the Yeisk rural settlement. The administration is confident that the deputies took advantage of their official position.

At Korovainy's request, the Regional Election Commission responded that deputies have the right to campaign if they do not take advantage of their position.
