A court in Ufa arrested oppositionist Airat Dilmukhametov
The Kirovsky District Court of Ufa has arrested Bashkir opposition activist Airat Dilmukhametov for one month. It is reported by "Idel. Realities".
The man is suspected of public calls to carry out actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation (part 2 of article 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The reason was a video posted by Dilmukhametov on the Internet.
The activist himself asked for house arrest, as he lives with his retired mother and has two minor children. The investigation petitioned for an arrest, believing that the suspect could hide and put pressure on witnesses.
Airat Dilmukhametov was detained on March 14 after a search of his house. A search was also held at the home of his associate, lawyer Vsevolod Lebedinsky.
