On both sides of the coffin stood journalists. On the right side are people with cameras, including from federal television channels who came to cover the event. On the left side is a little more group: those who came to say goodbye to the person who was a colleague and a friend.
There were few of those who were not in service, existing journalists or media bosses. NTV correspondent Pavel Lobkov (who has long been not a NTV correspondent for a long time), the host of NTV Anton Krasovsky (also not working there for a long time). There were other people from the classic NTV - Marianna Maksimovskaya and Vladimir Luskanov. As well as journalists Sergey Buntman, Mikhail Fishman, Evgenia Albats and Alexander Budberg, member of the Board of Directors of the newspaper Vedomosti Demyan Kudryavtsev and Galerist Emelyan Zakharov.
Of the media managers with whom Malashenko worked in the 1990s in the Mediamost holding, is only the editor-in-chief of Echo of Moscow, Alexei Venediktov. Of those with whom Malashenko worked in recent years, a member of the Party of Changes Timur Valeev and the municipal deputy Lucy Stein (Malashenko headed the election headquarters of Ksenia Sobchak in the elections of the Russian President in 2018; Stein entered her Moscow headquarters, Valeev led the headquarters network). Sobchak herself did not appear goodbye, but it was she who organized Malashenko’s commemoration, which later went in the central house of the writer.
For relatives, chairs were put in front of the coffin, although they practically did not need them. The arrivals did not dare to sit down, and even the widow of Bozhena Rynsk, the closest Malashenko man in his last years, all the time got up from her place and went confusedly between the ranks, peering into her faces and hugging those whom she recognized. So that no one can see the tearful eyes, she put on dark glasses, despite the fact that the room was not at all bright.
When the manager from the ritual service made it possible to say tombstones, a long pause arose. Finally, the lawyer of Igor Malashenko, American, Henry Lowenfeld, came to the microphone. He read poetry (the lawyer speaks well in Russian): “No matter how we persecute, we will not stop. We will not calm down. Above death, she is love. ” After another American lawyer Malashenko Malcolm Taub spoke, who, through the translator, said that Malashenko was a “real gentleman”, who “loved his family, loved his children and loved Bozhena very much.”

Bozena Rynsk went out to the microphone twice and both once said what she had already written on Facebook more than once: Malashenko ruined the trial with his previous wife and children associated with the division of property. “I will tell the truth. Igor really hurt heavy depression. There were huge periods of remission when depression retreated. But the deterioration happened at the end of December, and the depression came completely-it was January-February. This is what the truth looks like. " There was no one to argue with her. Of the family members living in the United States, only the eldest daughter of Elizabeth came to the funeral, who did not speak - she sat from the edge, lowering her head.
There was a large wreath from children and three wreaths from the Gusinsky family. The businessman Vladimir Gusinsky himself, together with Malashenko, founded the NTV television channel and then offered him to actually lead the election campaign Boris Yeltsin (then Malashenko accepted the proposal), does not go to Russia. Of those entrepreneurs who closely communicated with Malashenko in the 1990s, only businessman Peter Aven was. The leaders of the "Big Troika" of the television channels Konstantin Ernst, Oleg Dobroduev and Tatyana Mitkova, firmly connected with the present, and not the past of domestic television, did not come to the farewell ceremony.
A man who introduced himself as a colleague Malashenko, with whom he worked in the 1990s, said that Malashenko in recent years loved to be alone, almost secretly came to Spain. “When we talked with him, he often asked the question:“ Why do we live, old man? ” Apparently, on his last visit, he found the answer to this question, and he [the answer] was unimportant. "
Of the journalists, only Zoya Svetova decided to approach the microphone: “Igor created the same NTV that formed us. He came up with this NTV, which then defeated the authorities. Thank you for that. Sorry that you could not help. ”
When the farewell ceremony was already declared closed, Valentin and Tatyana Yumasheva entered the hall. With the filing of Valentin Yumashev, Boris Yeltsin proposed to head the presidential administration in 1996. “Dad did not persuade him,” recalled the daughter of the first president in her blog in the Live magazine eight years ago. - But I was upset. He did not like failures. " When it came to the resignation of the government of Viktor Chernomyrdin in April 1998, Yumashev again proposed the candidacy of Malashenko, already as a prime minister. But he refused again.
After the funeral, friends walked from the farewell room to the grave - to the very outskirts of the Troekurovsky cemetery. He was buried in one cemetery with his father, Soviet General Yevgeny Malashenko , but not nearby - from father to son walk for about seven minutes.
Journalists with cameras at the cemetery were not allowed - one of the employees said that they were "waiting for a scandal ." But no scandal happened. In the cemetery, only the noise of the Moscow ring road was violated by the silence.
