In Yaroslavl, during the celebration of the annexation of Crimea, a picketer with a poster in support of Ukraine was detained

In Yaroslavl on March 17, at an event in honor of the fifth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, the police detained Mikhail Malinin, who stood with placards in support of Ukraine. Malinin told OVD-Info about this.

According to the activist, when he unfurled the posters in the square where the celebration was taking place, people in civilian clothes approached him, tore out the posters and led him to a police car. Then the law enforcers took Malinin to the police hotel. Protocols were not drawn up for the activist, documents on delivery and detention were not issued. The man's personal belongings were examined, the remaining posters were confiscated and they were asked to write an explanation, after which they were released.

Malinin intends to appeal against the detention and the refusal to familiarize him with the video recording of the detention.
