The Ministry of Internal Affairs has edited the list of dangerous dogs, which included non-existent breeds

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reduced the list of potentially dangerous dog breeds that will be banned from walking without muzzles and leashes. This was stated in the State Duma by the representative of the department Alexei Bezzubov, Interfax reports .

It was decided to reduce the draft list of potentially dangerous dogs from 69 to 13 breeds. The new list includes Akbash, American Bandog, Ambuldog, Brazilian Bulldog, Bully Kutta, Purebred Alapah Bulldog (Otto), Bandog, wolf-dog hybrids, wolfdogs, ghoul dogs, pit bullmastiffs and North Caucasian dogs. It is noted that mestizos are displayed as a separate item in the new list.

In early March, the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented a list of potentially dangerous breeds of 69 items. It listed such non-existent breeds as "superdog", "Daufman's shepherd dog" or "Vladek Roshina's Doberman".

In addition, some names were misspelled or duplicated each other (“bandog” and “bandog”, “Korelian” and “Karelian” bear dog, “Greek” and “Greek” shepherd dogs).

It is assumed that the draft resolution can supplement the Law on the Responsible Treatment of Animals, which entered into force in December 2018.
