The VKontakte social network blocked a group dedicated to Tomsk roofs at the request of the local prosecutor's office. According to the correspondent of Siberia. Reali, its administrator Ilya Soyer, it was a local history project where photos of the city made from a height were posted. The unique collection had pictures from the 19th century to the present day. According to the interlocutor, this is not in any museum of Tomsk and the region. And the author scanned many photos from private collections.
"Real patriotism begins with love for the native land, for the small homeland, with the study of its history. I believe that the prosecutor’s office decided, they say, the children will see photos and go from the roofs. Comrade Major will have a prize and a ticket to the Crimea. And Tomsk lost one of the coolest local history projects," Soyer said.
The official reason for the closing of the public was the decision of the court in which the information was recognized as banned in Russia. The group created 10 years ago was dedicated to Ruffers, but after in 2017, information appeared that such content would block, administrators changed the format. Nobody shared the addresses of the roofs here, and the photos only showed Tomsk from a height.
Ilya Soyer wrote a request to the technical support of the social network with a request to restore photos, but had not yet received an answer. The interlocutor of the editorial office noted that the decision of the Russian authorities influenced his desire to do such projects from now on.
