Roscosmos is negotiating with Stroytransgaz, which is associated with the Gennady Timchenko, Stroygazmontazh Arkady Rotenberg and Crocus Araza Agalarova - on the continuation of the construction of the second starting table at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region. This was announced on Monday by the head of the state corporation Dmitry Rogozin.
The representative of Rotenberg, however, told Interfax that businessman companies do not plan to take part in construction.
Rogozin previously stated that one of the above companies "is already ready to confirm the possibilities of very prompt mobilization of forces and means" for the performance of work. Rogozin did not clarify the name of this company. According to the media, earlier the willingness to become a contractor of construction was expressed by Crocus Group.
The cost of building a second starting table at the Vostochny cosmodrome is estimated at 39 billion rubles. We are talking about the construction of 119 objects of various complexity and purpose on an area of 12 hectares.
In the Cosmodrome of Vostochny in the Amur Region, for the entire time of its construction - since 2012 - almost 92 billion rubles have already been invested, Rogozin reported today. Several criminal cases are associated with the construction of the cosmodrome, including embezzlement of a total of several billion rubles.
