After the publication of new videos with torture in the Yaroslavl IK-1, criminal cases have been instituted

The Investigative Committee instituted new criminal cases after the publication of video recordings of torture in the Yaroslavl IK-1, the human rights organization "Public Verdict" reports in Telegram.

Lawyer Irina Biryukova notes that the victims will soon be interrogated - probably prisoners of Paul W. and Pavel Sokolov, captured in the video published in March by the New Gazeta.

The publication previously noted: probably one of the published videos had in mind in the FSIN, claiming that "the video was discovered when viewing the facts of violations of the current legislation by convicts and the FSIN officers."

In the summer, the New Gazeta published a video of the torture of the prisoner Evgeny Makarov, made on the DVR of one of the employees of the IK-1. After that, several criminal cases were instituted, 15 FSIN employees were accused of them.
